Microsoft Plug-Ins Easy-to-use Signing from Topaz Systems

Based upon the popularity of Word and Excel in the marketplace, Topaz developed our first Word plug-in back in 1998, and the first Excel plug-in in 2000. These were met with overwhelming success, and Topaz of course still provides versions today. We have also also kept up with plug-ins that work with new versions of Word and Excel.
The plug-ins are designed to allow customers to sign their documents and spreadsheets right out of the box, with no development necessary. Using a Topaz signature pad and MS Office, users click on the "Pencil" icon to sign, and the "Checkmark" icon to validate their signatures. Signatures added to the documents and spreadsheets are cryptographically bound to the files, thereby tying the two together. If changes made to the documents or spreadsheets after capture has taken place, they are rendered invalid.
For customers that require customization of the plug-ins, Topaz can also provide the source code to the plug-ins under NDA. Because of the rich VBA toolset offered by Microsoft, along with Topaz's own robust SigPlus SDK, such customization can offer vast benefit to organizations that have special needs for Word or Excel in terms of signing, but do not want to start development from the ground up.
Given the vast number of existing documents and forms that are based around Word and Excel, such as simple memos, time-cards, expense reports, non-disclosure agreements, among others, a plug-in that allows for signing out-of-the-box has proven to be very well accepted by Topaz customers.
