If your application requires that the signer receives a hard copy of the document with an ink signature, but you would like to have an electronic record instead, you will need a non-LCD tablet that is designed for ‘print and sign’ environments. These tablets typically feature a durable plastic signing surface in place of an LCD.

An interactive LCD tablet is the correct choice for applications that do not typically require a hard copy of the document. If necessary, the document can be printed on demand. LCD tablets allow you to display text, graphics, and pen-tap checkboxes. The signing surface is usually made of either pressure-resistive plastic or durable tempered glass for longer tablet life.
